Welcome to our shiny new Envelope blog! It’s so exciting to join the land of the bloggers, and I can’t think of a better way to share some of the special projects we work on throughout the year. I have to say I’m completely blown away by all of the social media tools at our fingertips these days! Between Facebook, Twitter, LinkdIn, and blogging, it’s practically a fulltime job to keep them all up-to-date! But it’s worth it because through blogging and web posts we are able to reach so many different people, from various backgrounds and geographic areas, letting them know what’s going on in our little world, should they be curious about what it is we do here at The Envelope.
I first started thinking about blogging after having so many great experiences with couples who are getting married. I thought to myself, “If this was such an awesome experience for all of us, wouldn’t other people want to know about it?” Especially other people getting married. We’re not trying to boast, but by sharing stories about experiences that were meaningful to us, we hope to provide some insight about our values and store practices. I know from personal experience that when I got married, the first thing I did was ask around for recommendations for vendors. I wanted to hear personal stories of people’s experiences because I truly believe it’s the experience and service you receive that matters most. And that’s what we’re all about- making the whole experience completely delightful.
I believe (and hope) this blog will be a fun way for us to document the creative process, and let our other customers know a little bit about what makes each project special, and how we work with people intensively to come up with their own one-of-a-kind invitation that represents who they are, and gives their guests a sneak peek of what their event will be like.
One of the things I love so much about owning this store is that I get to meet so many interesting and unique individuals, getting to know them little by little as we work together. Because this process means so much to me, and because I put a lot of heart into creating things that make people smile, I wanted to be able to share a little bit about why this is so fun with anyone who is interested. I hope you’ll join me periodically as I talk about the current projects I’m working on, as well as some of the incredible people I get to work with. I’m ready to jump in with both feet and see where this blog takes me… I’d love to have you along for the ride!
