Annie (a.k.a. owner, designer, “that paper girl”) created The Envelope after deciding a career in law wasn’t meant to be, and while exploring her more creative side in 2003-2004, she was lucky enough to gain some valuable experience in invitation design at a small Dayton stationery shop. She learned the ins and outs of layout design, print media, and the beautiful art of fine paper and when that shop closed in 2005, The Envelope was born.
Realizing the necessity of attention to detail, and the importance of fostering customer relationships, she developed the skills that have allowed her to work closely with clients to create whatever unique invitations they can possibly dream up. Annie also does freelance writing, and has been the graphic design consultant for Culture Works and marketing coordinator for the Dayton Visual Arts Center since 2012.
